Hi, friend. I’m Dana. I’m so glad you’re here.

I want to help you to find joy in your everyday life. That’s what we all want, right? To be able to quiet the noise of stress, burnout, and exhaustion.

We live in a loud, busy world. Whether it's the 9-to-5 grind, the constant ping of notifications, or just the pressure to 'do it all,' I know what it feels like to run on empty. When we moved to Bolingbrook, I found myself craving a way to slow down and reconnect with something real.

So I took the kids outside.

And we picked flowers.

Thankfully, the previous owner of our little house must have loved flowers. To my delight, the year after we moved it felt like every morning brought a new bloom!

And every morning when I would see a jar of fresh cut flowers in my kitchen, I felt a small yet powerful surge of joy that turned my kitchen into a sanctuary, no matter how chaotic the rest of the day had been.

I never quite grasped what people were talking about when they said “self-care.” It used to seem a bit fluffy and frivolous to me.

Now I get it.

You can buy yourself flowers! You can prioritize your joy in small ways that have a massive impact on your mood. It really is the little things.

But we believe the flowers you bring into your sanctuary should be as intentional as the rest of your life.

Clean Beauty, Grown in Bolingbrook

You care about where your coffee beans come from. You read the labels on your skincare. We believe your flowers deserve the same intention.

Here is the dirty truth about most "pretty" grocery store bouquets: they are often grown thousands of miles away, dipped in fungicides and chemicals to survive the long journey, and stripped of their natural scent long before they hit the shelf.

We do things differently.

At Walton Family Flowers, we practice sustainable, "slow" farming.

  • Safe to Sniff: Because we don't use harsh preserving chemicals, you can bury your nose in our blooms without worry.

  • Grown for Joy, Not Travel: We grow delicate, unique varieties that are too fragile for global shipping but perfect for your local table.

  • Rooted in Goodness: By buying local, you are shrinking your carbon footprint and supporting an ecosystem right here in your community.

It’s modern luxury with old-fashioned values.

Connecting You to the Source

I started Walton Family Flowers in 2024 because I realized there was a disconnect. We fill our homes with things, but we rarely know where they come from.

We exist to change that. We want you to look at the jar of fresh-cut flowers in your kitchen and know exactly where they came from.

  • Picked yesterday. (Not two weeks ago).

  • Grown right here. (In the Chicago suburbs, not a cargo plane).

  • Rooted in reality. (A genuine connection to the season outside your window).

Your Home, Your Sanctuary

You might have a stressful week ahead. You might be juggling a million deadlines. But you can also be the person who has fresh, local flowers delivered to your door or picked up on a slow Saturday morning.

It’s a small ritual that claims a little bit of peace amidst the noise.
